What’s the Catch With Windows 10?
One of the potential catches with the soon to be released Windows 10 upgrade, will center around the area of software updates. Updates will be automatic and you will not be able to opt out. If Microsoft doesn’t abuse this, it may not be a problem.
In the past most Windows updates have been desirable, create no problems and help protect your system. If you’re a Windows 10 enthusiast, willing accepting all Windows 10 updates, probably won’t disturb you.
What if there is an update that causes you problems with your particular set of hardware?
What if Microsoft partners with another SW provider and as a result they push this software to you without your permission?
What about adds promoting their services or the services of one of their partners?
One thing is for sure, Microsoft is in the business of making money. Some wise person once said; “If someone wants to give you something for free – LOOKOUT!”.
The bottom line is that if you are a Windows user, Windows 10 is inevitable, and will have features you will like… however, if you like to control which updates you accept, it might be wise to wait a while to make sure all is well before jumping in!
