Apple has Unveiled the new Larger iPhone 6, & even Larger iPhone 6 Plus!
As expected, Apple unveiled two new iPhones yesterday. The new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have larger screens at 4.7-inch, and 5.5-inch respectively. Both models have a new curved design similar in design to the latest iPads. The new iPhones have enhanced display’s in both technology and resolution. The iPhone 6 has an amazing 1334 x 750 pixels. The iPhone 6 Plus has even more with 1920 x 1080 pixels. This is the traditional 2.07 Million pixels; the HD TV standard. For comparison the resolution on the prior model, the iPhone 5, is 1136 x 640.
Apple calls the new display “sapphire“, and is “ion strengthened.” Both iPhones are powered by a new more powerful A8 processor, and have enhanced 8-megapixel cameras with enhanced focus capabilities, thanks to what Apple calls “Dual-domain pixels”.
A new iOS 8 will be on the new phones when they ship. The new iOS 8 will released to their prior version iPhones as well. The new iPhones will support the new Apple “Payfeature” for “contactless” payments.
Pre-orders begin on Sept. 12th, with the first units sold in the Apple Stores on Sept. 19th. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will be available in gold, silver, or space grey, with prices starting at $199 for the 6 with two-year contract and $299 for the 6 Plus.
These are the most advanced phones on the planet. Full specifications are listed below compliments of Apple:
